As much as I hate Texas, which was clearly demonstrated to me as I sat around the State Fair of Texas after that abysmal OU/TX game, I can’t help but approach this BCS title game as I approach the World Series. My White Sox are an AL Central team so, no matter how much I hate the other AL Central teams during the regular season, if one of them makes it to the postseason (hopefully my White Sox), I support them. I’ll be the biggest Twins, Royals, Indians, or Tigers fan in the world if my other choice is a NL team. Similarly, if there’s no AL Central team, I’ll go for the AL team every time. Angels? I’m a fan. Yankees? Well, that’s a tough one, but I’ll live. Red Sox, all the way. So, applying this logic to college football, I’m sad to say that I have to secretly hope that Texas wins, if only to prove the dominance of the Big 12. It doesn’t mean I like Texas (never, I hate them), but that I like the Big 12 better than anything else out there.
