I don’t quite know what to make of this story from Autoblog about cops in Rancho Cordova, CA pulling law abiding citizens over to give them a $5 Starbucks gift card for actually following the law. On one hand, I’d be grateful for the free coffee (or what $5 actually gets me at Starbucks, which isn’t much) but on the other I’d be pissed to be pulled over for no reason. I’m one that tends to go into freak-out mode whenever dealing with law enforcement so the anxiety caused by the ordeal would probably not be negated by the act of goodwill. Oh well. Seems like a nice idea anyway.
